The cooks of the country inn use fresh ingredients to prepare savoury, regional as well as refined international dishes. Treat yourself and enjoy a tasty meal and pleasant moments.

Our selections of beer and wines is quite impressive, in particular as we choose to offer regional products. Nevertheless, fans of Paulaner beer will be well catered for.

The restaurant has a daily changing menu offering something for every taste.

In summer a variety of crispy salads completes our menu.

The Kneispermühle winter menu has various culinary specialty weeks on offer.

Since 2000 Beate Hartmann has been the third generation manager of the Kneispermühle, a restaurant and boarding house in the Palantinate Forest.

As a qualified hotel expert she spared neither costs nor effort to renovate the restaurant considering the regulations for listed buildings. The floor is equipped with a modern underfloor heating.

Our dining area accommodates 45 seated guests and another 15 persons at the counter. Our adjoining room (the so-called Sälchen) offers seats for 40 guests and in the summer season we are ready to treat another 120 visitors.

Mill breakfast buffet is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.

Please order your mill breakfast in advance.

Coffee is served all day long and sometimes i. e. mainly at the weekends you can try our tasty cakes.

Each Thursday we have our regionally well-known Schlachtfest (a kind of BBQ with freshly prepared meat) with specialties like

  • Meat platter
  • Wellfleisch (boiled pork)
  • Molli* (minced meat specialty)
  • Raw Molli (raw minced meat specialty)
  • Liver dumplings
  • Bratwurst
  • Homemade sausages

and many combined dishes.

*Mollis is a minced meat specialty either fried or raw. We have prepared Mollis according to a specific recipe for about 50 years. It was the guests who made up the name Molli.
